What information is processed will be discussed in more detail below.

What personal data is processed and for what purpose?

  • Contact information (name and phone number): If the user intends to participate in an online chat with an emergency responder, he/she must first provide both his/her name and phone number. They must also provide their location, either by selecting it on a map or by providing access to automatic location registration on their device. The information is used to be able to trace the whereabouts of the person seeking assistance and to be able to be in contact with them.

The information is used to be able to track where emergency messages come from, but also to be able to track how the website is used, which way users navigate and what they click on (usage information), so that we can make informed decisions about changing the user interface and features of the website, analyse and respond to technical problems on the website, update it and improve its functionality.
  • Information about the equipment the user uses to navigate the website, i.e. browser type, operating system and equipment (diagnostic information, in English, "user agent string"): The information is used to diagnose and respond to technical problems on the website, update it and improve its functionality.
  • Suggestions to the Ethics Committee: The user can register free text in the form for suggestions to the Emergency Line's Ethics Committee, including personal information if he/she chooses. In addition to free text, you can fill in the fields "Name", "Phone number", "Subject" and "E-mail". By clicking "Send" on the form, the message is transferred to our processor, who sends it by email to the Ethics Committee. The information is used to make it easier for the Committee to respond to the person who submitted the suggestion, if he so chooses
